WTM Verlag promotes and supports the publication of scientific books under the Creative Commons license CC BY-NC-ND by offering low prices (see below) and a very quick publication process.
WTM prefers open access books that have undergone a review process. The form of the review process is disclosed in the book information.
All Open Access books are under Creative Commons License CC BY-NC-ND. The open access books are stored in the German National Library, ensuring unlimited costfree permanent access to the books.
The following variants of peer review are currently available:
- What – What is being reviewed? Book / All papers in an edited book
- Who – Who conducts the peer review? (1 / 2) External peer reviewer(s) / Book editor(s)
- How – How – What is the level of anonymity? double anonymised / Single-anonymised / All identities known
- When – At what stage is the peer review being conducted? Pre-publication
- Peer review is overseen by: member of the editorial board of the edited book

Prices for open access
Price for open access to a book with 150 pages or more: € 5.00 per page, minimum € 1,500.00
All prices are subject to 7% VAT.
Included is registration of the book DOI with CrossRef. If you want to have every paper registered for an anthology, please ask for the conditions.

According to BFSG §3 paragraph (3), micro-enterprises with a turnover of less than €2 million and fewer than 10 employees are exempt from the requirements of the BFSG. As WTM more than meets both requirements, WTM avails itself of this exemption. However, we prefer manuscripts in which all images are provided with alternative text.
